Personality: Acario Panagakos is efficient. He is a man of few words who gets what he wants, when he wants it and how he wants it. He is a parents dream except for the fact that he runs the Greek mafia that deals in human trafficking, drugs and real estate (the cover for his businesses).  His wife perfectly fits into the picture that he has painted of his life. His wife is the youngest daughter of the Defense Secretary for Greece, attractive not beautiful, and is on several nonprofit boards. Acario, most importantly, hates loose ends and winning.

A bit of Theus’ backstory

“ She’s been a bit useless except for being a play toy for the boys. Not one prediction. Are you sure this is what you want?”

“The little bit is perfect. Who would suspect her? She’s observant with a photogenic memory, not just visually, but viscerally. It’s worth a try.”

“She could get in your way or cost us.”

Theus crosses his arms and nods. Acario Panagakos bows his head. “This fails, then….”

Theus, “I understand.”

Theus knocks on Kassandra’s door before entering her room. The twelve year old does not look up from her desk where she has taken apart a small radio with each piece carefully laid out over every inch of the desk. Theus walks over and stands next to Kassandra.

“How much longer before you have it fixed?”

“I can put it back together in eight minutes and thirteen seconds.”

“Let’s see it.”

He times it. It takes her exactly the time she stated. Theus picks it up and turns it on, the DJ announces the next song.

“Kate, how would you like working for me instead of Acario?”

The young girl tenses at the name. Theus squats down so he his at her level.

“I’ll teach you to take apart all other kinds of electronics and use security equipment.”

She turns to face Theus. Apprehensive, he shrugs. “Or maybe you’ll teach me.”

Kassandra smirks and nods. “I’ll start with the radio.”

“First get your things, you’ll stay over at the working quarters with Contessa. Okay.”

Work: None. In hiding, but was once the head of security for Greek mafia branch that bought Kassandra.

Love interest: None. His wife was his first love and died in a car accident. He was also once in love with his boss’s wife, tried to protect her from him but she would not leave when he escaped with Kassandra.

Personality: Personable. Very easy going, but always refrains from being memorable. He has a very simple way about him, that is deceiving because he Theus is highly intelligent, experienced and talented at reading people. These traits made him an extremely efficient and highly capable head security analyst.

Kassandra’s gadgets

These are sketches of Kassandra’s gadgets. Kassandra’s built an AI system with the help of her mentor Theus and is called Alchemis. Alchemis is like her best friend. She has built out several gadgets so that she is constant communication with Alchemis. She customized her prescribed glasses to collect solar power, temporal data, records video and displays maps. Her mics, ear wigs, netbooks and other gadgets are carried around in vests and cargo pants. Her Asperger’s is the reason that she relates to her toys better then people.

A bit of Xochitl’s backstory…

The elevator dings and the door opens. Daniel walks out slowly, expectant. His body relaxes as he moves through the lobby and no one addresses him. He lets himself into an inner office after entering a security code and finger scan. Daniel sifts through the desk at the back of the room, methodically gathering together papers. Then he grabs a brief case from underneath the desk that was left against it and fills it with all the paperwork. He exits.

Downstairs in the lobby of the building the door man unlocks the front door.

DOORMAN
Good night, Dr. Mateo.

DANIEL
Good night, Henry.

Daniel hesitates outsides and searches the night. Somewhat satisfied, he sets off down the street. He walks briskly on a mission. He barely pauses at street corners before he crosses. Ten blocks later, Daniel gets into a small blue car with a woman in the driver’s seat.

EVA MATEO
Everything alright?

DANIEL
Just go.

Eva reaches across to the passenger side and squeezes her husband’s hand. He smiles. She turns the car into the road when a loud RUMBLE approaches.

DANIEL
EVA!

A sanitation truck, aimed at their car barrels into them full on at full speed.  The impact pins the car to the corner street lamp leaving it’s passengers dead on impact.

A bit of Kassandra’s backstory…

The little girl could not have been more than 8 years-old maybe nine. It was difficult to guess because she looked malnourished and unkempt.  Her long black hair lay in a matted bird’s nest on top of her head. She wore a dingy summer dress what reeked of having been worn for days. But through all that grit,  one could see, she was far from broken. She stood with her spine straight and a stern face of courage.

Her pride made the man she stood before grin. It tickled him to see she still had such spirit.

“So, this is what we traded for… she doesn’t look like much.”

The child did not like the comment and bristled as she crossed her arms over her chest. The man, who wore a comfortable white suit in contrast to the little girl, laughed as he stepped around his desk to approach the little girl.

“Tell us what we want to hear then.”

The intrepid young girl said nothing, instead so challenged the man with her stare. The two held the gaze for some time before the man looked over to the doorway.

“Is she mute or something?”

The security guard that had walked her into the room had been standing in the doorway and nodded, ” No, but she does have trouble seeing properly, is what we were told, just like her ancestors.”

The man in the suit steped close the little girl, still staring at him. He crouched down in front of her. “Stop starring, it’s disturbing.” He examined her while wiping a bit of dirt off her face with a handkerchief.

“She’s a pretty little thing under all this dirt.”

The white suite stood and moved to the security guard.

“Get her cleaned up and put her in a nice dress to have dinner with me. We’ll see if we can’t get her to talk.”
